For schools
- The school operations suite is free: admin console, attendance, gradebook, report cards, finance, portals, and messaging infrastructure.
- Schools pay only for the optional learning apps they enable for their students, billed per term.
- SMS messages to guardians are billed from a prepaid SMS wallet the school tops up.
For families
- Families subscribe per term, per child, paid through Paystack by card or mobile money.
- A subscription gives the named children access to the learning apps for the paid term.
§ 02 — Accounts and responsibilities
- School accounts are created by the school; the school decides who is on its roster and which staff have which roles.
- Family accounts must be created by a guardian aged 18 or over; children use the platform under their guardian's account.
- Keep login cards, PINs, and passwords safe, and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
- You agree not to attempt to access another school's or family's data, probe or overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
§ 03 — Payments by schools
- Schools are invoiced and pay by bank transfer or other agreed offline means; our staff record each payment against the school's account.
- If a subscription lapses, access to the paid apps pauses — the school's data is kept safe and access resumes when the account is settled.
§ 04 — Payments by families
- Termly subscriptions paid by card renew automatically at the start of each term; you can cancel auto-renewal at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Subscriptions paid by mobile money do not renew automatically — we send a reminder and you re-pay with one tap if you want to continue.
- If a payment goes wrong — a double charge, a failed top-up, access not granted — contact us at info@simusim.com and we will put it right.
§ 05 — The school's data
- The school owns its data. We process it to operate the platform and for nothing else (see the privacy policy).
- A school can request a full export of its data at any time.
- If a school leaves Simusim, we keep its data available for an agreed wind-down period for export, then delete it on request.
§ 06 — Availability and changes
- We work hard to keep the platform available during school hours and maintain backups of all data, but the service is provided "as is" and no online service can promise zero downtime.
- We improve the platform continuously; if we ever discontinue a feature your school relies on, we will tell you ahead of time and help you export anything affected.
§ 07 — Liability and law
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the term the issue arose.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
§ 08 — Changes to these terms and contact
If these terms change materially we will update this page, note the new date at the top, and — for changes that affect what you pay or what you get — notify schools and subscribing families directly.
