Your Student Portal

Everything in one place: your apps, your grades, your attendance, quizzes from your teachers, your Simu progress, and your student card. Here's how to use all of it — starting with the card in your pocket.

student.simusim.com Sign in: student code + PIN ~10 min read

§ 01Signing in

  1. Fastest way: scan the QR code on your login card with any phone camera. It opens your school's sign-in page with your code already typed.
  2. Or go to login.simusim.com, choose your school, and tap the Student door.
  3. Type your student code (e.g. 2H4KMN — with or without the school prefix like KMP-) and your 4-digit PIN, then tap Sign in.

Forgot your PIN or lost your card? Ask your teacher or the school office — they'll give you a new one. (Your code stays the same; only the PIN changes.)

§ 02Your dashboard

After signing in you'll see a greeting — “Akwaaba” — with your name, your class, and a little Day streak flame badge. Below the greeting, your dashboard gathers everything in one place:

  • Your apps — every learning app and tool your school has switched on for you. Tap one to open it.
  • My schedule — a link to your weekly timetable.
  • Homework — work your teachers have set, where you can also submit it (Homework guide).
  • Notices — the school's announcements (Communication guide).
  • Behaviour — your own conduct record (Behaviour guide).
  • Resources — documents your school and teachers have shared (Resources guide).
  • Upcoming events — the next dates on the school calendar (Events guide).
  • Progress — quick tiles for this term: Term grades, Attendance, Simu progress, Quizzes, and Fees. Tap a tile to see the detail.

The Fees tile is just for information — it shows ✓ Settled or an outstanding amount. Your guardian handles payments in the parent app; nothing for you to do here.

§ 03Opening your apps

Tap any card under Your apps — Simu Primary, Simu JHS, Simu Science Lab, vMaths, Stories, Arena — and you're taken straight in, no second sign-in needed. Each app is explained in the learning apps guide.

If the section says “Your school hasn't enabled any apps for you yet. Ask your teacher.” — do exactly that: your teacher or school admin can switch apps on for you.

§ 04Grades

The Term grades page lists each subject with three numbers:

  • CA — your continuous assessment average (classwork, homework, quizzes).
  • Exam — your exam average.
  • Term — the combined term grade your school calculates from both.

Your overall term average sits at the top. Empty for now? “No grade data available yet — your teachers will add them soon.” means exactly that — check back after your next marked assessment.

§ 05Attendance

The Attendance page shows your percentage for the term (“19 of 20 days present”), how many days you were absent or late, and a Last 7 days strip — green for present, amber for late, red for absent, grey for no school.

§ 06Taking quizzes

  1. Open the Quizzes page (or the Quizzes tile). Quizzes your teachers have published are grouped by class, each showing the subject, how long you have, the points, and any due date.
  2. Tap Start / Resume. Read each question and answer it; if the quiz is timed, keep an eye on the timer.
  3. Your answers save as you go — if the connection blips or the page reloads, resume and carry on.
  4. Submit when you're done. Your result page shows your score and, question by question, what you answered and what was correct — read it, that's where the learning is.
Play it straight Quizzes notice when you leave the quiz window or open other tabs, and your teacher sees it. If something genuinely went wrong (power cut, crash), tell your teacher — they can reset your attempt.

§ 07Simu progress

The Simu progress page totals what you've mastered across the learning apps — how many curriculum indicators you've completed, stars earned, and a per-app breakdown. The “Continue where you left off” card takes you back into the exact activity you last touched: tap Open app.

§ 08Your student card

Tap Show my card on the dashboard. Your on-screen Student card shows your name, school, class, student code, and a QR code — scan it at sign-in to pre-fill your code. Your PIN is never shown here, on purpose: “Scan to pre-fill your code at login. Your code is still required.”

§ 09Account & signing out

The Account page shows your name and school, and the one button that matters on a shared computer: Sign out. Use it every time you leave a lab machine. And as the page says: “Forgot your PIN? Ask your school admin to issue a new one.”
